Objectives of Conference
Why are we doing this?
PFF’s driving force is to eradicate ignorance, the misguided myths and social stigma associated with delayed fertility in our society hence the initiative to hold the maiden edition of the Parah Family Foundation Fertility Conference.
At PFF, we consider knowledge and information as the keys to the transformation of individual’s mindset about fertility and how to handle the issues and challenges presented by infertility particularly in the Nigerian society.
In summary, the objectives of the conference are as follows:
- To bridge the knowledge gap and re-orientate people’s perspective about infertility. The likely causes and solutions to infertility would be highlighted while long standing myths on the subject would be adequately addressed. People need not engage in the ‘blame game’ in families in the event of infertility;
- Infertility is not final – there are legally acceptable and godly solutions to this challenge;
- To create adequate sensitization at all levels of leadership as to the need for urgent legislative effort to enact and update (where necessary) the relevant laws governing assisted reproductive procedures in Nigeria.
