Professor Adeniyi Adewunmi (LASU) highlighted that infertility is not solely a women’s issue, citing smoking, alcohol, obesity, testicular infections, and environmental toxins as growing male risk factors.

Dr. Olufemi Omololu (Lagos Island Maternity Hospital) stressed the urgent need for increased awareness of male infertility.

Dr. Kemi Ailoje (CEO, Lifeline Fertility Clinic) explained that infertility can stem from a variety of medical conditions in both men and women, and urged couples to seek early medical help rather than suffer in silence.

Dr. Lateef Akinola (Medical Director, Medison Women Fertility Centre) presented infertility statistics, attributing 30% of cases to male factors, 30% to female factors, 10% to both, 25% unexplained, and 5% to other causes.
