Dr. Habeeb Kehinde Tijani was Born in Lagos, Nigeria in September 21st, 1969 to the Tijani family. Started in 1979 – 1984; he had his Secondary education at Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Surulere, Lagos. He proceeded to College of Medicine, University of Lagos, in 1984 -1990 graduating with Distinction in Health Management.
In May 2002 He had his Fellowship in the Medical College of Surgeons in Nigeria (FMCS). He is also a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons in Urology (FWACS) in October 2002.
He is an Associate Professor of Surgery, College of Medicine, University of Lagos. An Honorary Consultant Urologist, the Head of Urology, Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos.
Also, he is a Trainer – Primary, Part I and Part II (Final) candidates for the Fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College in Surgery and the West African College of Surgeons from 2005-till date.
He lectures both undergraduate and postgraduate Medical and Dental students and Postgraduate doctors at Lagos University teaching Hospital (LUTH). A member OSCE committee, Department of Surgery, CMUL. He is also a Representative of Department of Surgery- CITS committee, Faculty of Clinical Science and Member, Finance committee, Department of Surgery.
Dr. Tijani has published over 40 national and International scientific Journals. His area of research interest includes; Increase in Fracture of the Penis. Iatrogenic Ureteric injuries in a Nigerian hospital. Scrotal abnormalities and infertility in West African men: a comparison of fertile and sub fertile men using scrotal ultrasound. Prostate Cancer in Indigenous West African Men Using Trans Rectal Ultrasound Guided Biopsy Etc.
He has as well supervised some postgraduate dissertation and attended over 20 conferences in Urologic Surgeons. He is also an Associate Editor Lagos journal of Surgery, a Guidance and counseling of Undergraduate Medical students, he Conducts seminars in Urologic surgery.
Dr. Tijani also has Honours, Awards and Grants as SIU scholar- International Society of Urology, Urology Center, Mansoura Egypt in 2007. He awarded as the State of the Art Lecture- Urethral Reconstruction; Nigerian Association of Urological Surgeons Conference, UCH, Ibadan in 2013. Also he was honour as the University of Lagos, Central Research Grant in 2013.
He has equally made significant contribution in the society by organizing many free health programs in Lagos.
His uniqueness and continuous quest for knowledge has earn him a member of Nigerian Medical Association, member of Nigerian Surgical Research Society, member of Nigerian Association of Urological Surgeons, member of British Association of Urological Surgeons and member of European Urological Association.
